Cold start: if you turn on the GPS after travelling a long distance it can take quite some time to get a fix but this is quite normal. Having tried it in the top pocket of a rucksack I can say I'm pleased with the performance, it kept locked on whilst cycling and going in/out of shops (not on the bike! You need a Sony camera in order to make full use of this device.) and the track matched the route very closely on Memory Map; very well in fact considering it only takes a reading every 15 seconds. It doesn't appear to work in aeroplanes, much to my disappointment.See the map to the right: the red line is the GPS track and it seems to be on the road most of the time and no more than 15 to 20m off at worst.
